Words:

Sentences:

S1 is young.

S2 is younger than S1.

Warmer:

1.      Greetings

2.      Ask the questions: What day is today?

 What’s the weather like today ?

                    How old are you ?

3. Revise the words: young  old  tall  short  big  small

Presentation:

1.      Ask the S1: How old are you ? S1:I’m 9 .

Ask the S2: How old are you ? S2:I’m 10.

Teacher says: S1 is younger than S2.

Let the students guess : How old is Miss Mu?

The students say :32.

Teacher says:Miss Mu is older than S2.

Ss say :S1 is younger than S2.

2.      Ask S1 and S2 stand up,let’s compare,

Teacher says: S1 is taller than S2.

Ask Miss Deng stand up,

Ss say: Miss Deng is taller than S2.

      S2 is shorter than S1.

3.      Take out some boxes,let the Ss look and compare:

Teacher ask: which is bigger?

           Which is smaller?

S1 says: The red box is bigger than the green box..

S2 says: The pink box is smaller than the green box.

Practice:

1.      Say the words and the comparetive degree.

2.      Say the words in the high and low voice..

3.      Let the Ss look at the screen: Zoo.Then talk about the animals.

4.      Let the Ss look at the screen: Say the chant and show the actions.

Consolidation:Talk about their family members.
